I have to agree with you.
I wasn't pissed at Steve, he just felt aggravated for what I said. I can
post atachments ouside my company, using Outlook as a newsreader, and In
this particular case I seriously doubt Nvidia forums would go down, at
least for long, and no they dont ask you to register to see what I posted,
you can get in and do what I ask without login in.

Besides, whats in your best interest as a contributor to POV-RAY? To
developed it, so why don't look for integration with world proved, time
tested, modelers like 3dsMax/Viz, wouldn't it be great to compete against
Mental Ray, AIR, and VRAY? Still basing in GNU. I don't see the point of
helping each other if you're gonna get offended and don't find workarounds
for things. If so, then you're right, go find something better to do than
getting pissed off.

Anyways, the policies you claim are completely reasonable.
I just dont see the point of posting a question and not getting the answer
when I provided a means to you to see my questions.

Again:
Just go here:
http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=19820

try to download WITHOUT LOGGING in...see what happens...

Anyway my suggestion is, once you get the means get a fully workable web
based forum system.

On other thing.

Just so you see I am accustomed to work in collaboration:

I have used these same means (NVIDIA Forums) to work with the 3D win
people(the exporter form .ASE to .POV) and they say is a problem with the
Demo version. I'm still conducting tests with them and will draw to a
conclusion soon.

Look in sourceforge.net for 3dsmax, there are some libraries in C for
developing exporting plugins. Pherhaps you expect some day to do some
professional work with 3dsmax and serve some architects/designers.

I mean Pov-RAy is already in some Grids, it supports distributed rendering
through MegaPov XRS and yes is independent from the modeler. That would be
Its biggest peak over some renderers like VRAY which needs 3dsmax/VIZ to
work.
